US Grade 6 - 9
In this course, students will learn seven new words weekly. They will employ context clues to ascertain the meanings of the words. Subsequently, they will compose sentences incorporating the new vocabulary. Additionally, students must read one passage akin to those in SAT practice exams, featuring a bonus word and related question. *Note: The vocabulary lists comprise words commonly found on the SAT/PSAT exams. Classes conclude with a Blooket/Gimkit game. Time permitting, a Jeopardy-style quiz or Vocabulary Jam may be played. Please note: students can use the seven new words to create a short story or write a passage for homework.

I will be using the following websites for students to engage in an interactive game. There is no sign up or log in required. I will provide the link and game id for kahoot and blooket. I will screenshare using ixl.com, as well.The teacher will screenshare with canva , k5 learning, and jeopardy lab website questions.
