This group PSAT, ACT, and/or SAT tutoring class is for all students. If your student has taken the test, it would be great if you would share their scores in order to guide instruction. 

For the ACT English and PSAT/SAT Writing and Language sections, we'll prioritize highly-tested skills of grammar, reading comprehension, and writing conventions. 

The language arts section will focus on identifying major literary elements, and using inferrences for word in context.  

Students will receive links to practice passages during the session, accessible on their devices. They'll have time to answer questions and then review them with the teacher, focusing on understanding the correct answer rationales. Screen sharing will be used to address specific questions or concepts.

Sample Class Breakdown (50 minutes)
	•	Introduction and test-taking reminders 10 minutes
	•	Practice passage (15 minutes)
	•	Answer review (10 minutes)
	•	Additional practice questions based on results, or a second practice passage and review (15 minutes)

Note: The PSAT and SAT are transitioning to a digital format. As this change unfolds, instruction will adapt to the test format the student is taking. For instance, if they're taking the paper test in 2023, we'll focus on those practice passages. If they're taking the adaptive digital test format in 2024, we'll focus on those.
