## Description

### Class Experience

```Among the topics that will be covered with the goal of increase recollection speed and accuracy are: identifying which polynomial graph matches a function in standard form, knowing the rules for graphing non-linear polynomials from standard form, identifying the inflection points on a graph, identifying how many solutions a function will have by the graph, Determining what the function will look like based on the graph.
Your student will come out of this game far more quick-on-their-feet for the math SAT. ```
```I've been certified in the public schools for teaching math in middle and high schools. I received additional certified training for gifted and talented learners. I taught math for sixteen years and I've been a personal SAT tutor for seven years. My students have typically raised their scores between 100 and 300 points.  As a chemical engineer and project management professional in the world of business consulting and information technology consulting, I've completed over five levels of college calculus and applied mathematics and used these math and computing skills throughout my career.

The students I have taught had varying learning abilities that ranged from one with pronounced learning disabilities to gifted and talented. When it came to PSAT's and SAT's, each of them with impressive improvements in their scores.

It can be done! I used a focused approach. We honed in on trouble areas, really understood the underlying math concept, and drilled for mastery.```
`No homework will be assigned for this class.`
`Paper, pencil, and a brain ready for thinking fun! Please do not bring calculators.`
`Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.`
`The learner progress is assessed by how well the learner participates in the interactions during class.`
`45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.`
`Students will have far more fun if they have studied linear equations and are comfortable with the terminology and concepts. This class is not an introductory or concept teaching class. Its sole purpose is to build speed and students are expected to be familiar enough to participate. Parents and older siblings are discouraged from participating, as it takes the fun and good humor out of letting kids try on their own. I want to teach each child to have the humility to encourage one-another when someone misses a problem.`
`No outside sources are needed.`
