I've been a meteorologist for fifteen years. Clouds are by far my favorite part of weather and they are also the most immediate part of predicting weather that a person can have. Are those dark clouds gonna bring rain? What makes those flying saucer looking clouds? Are clouds made of water or ice? I'll break down each of the different cloud categories using stories from the field and entertaining, yet informative videos. My goal is to have your learner, by the end of this class, come up to you and point to the sky and tell you what kind of cloud they see. Even if you didn't ask. :-)
Learning Goals
They will learn the differences between cumulous, cirrus and stratus clouds and all the subcategories in between. They'll learn why clouds are unique and how they make our world a unique place.
