The students will receive informal assessments and feedback on their portrait drawings.Class Experience
This class will include an overview of the basic proportions of the face. We will begin class with a presentation on the measurements that can be applied to the facial structure and see how they have been used in famous artworks. After the presentation each student can independently begin a drawing using the proportions that were taught. I will have a live video feed streaming for the students to watch of myself drawing a portrait from my imagination using the basic facial proportions. The students are welcome to ask questions throughout the class. Some experience drawing is recommended but not required.
Learning Goals
The students will learn the basic proportions of the facial structure including the placement of the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. The students will then apply this knowledge to a portrait drawing from their imagination.Other Details
Supply List
Drawing materials including but not limited to: paper, pencils, charcoal, colored pencils, erasers, an iPad for drawing, etc. You can pick the materials that you want to use. I will be demonstrating my drawing on an iPad.

I will be teaching a range of art classes for young artists that want to have fun and teen artists that are more serious about their artistic skills. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and a minor in art history, as well as 2.5 years of classical realism atelier training. I am a full time professional artist and I love to teach! I have been teaching children and adults for the past 5+ years. I believe that having as much artistic training as you can early on will benefit your professional career as an artist. When I'm not painting and teaching, you will find me outside in the mountains. I love to go hiking, camping, and skiing. You might even catch me with my easel outdoors!Reviews
