In the Proofreading Like a Detective one-time crash-course, students will learn Major Tips & Tricks for perfecting their essay-revision process. They will learn how to get better grades on their essays, and be able to walk away with a simple-to-follow step-by-step process that will allow students to independently grade their own papers in advance for any writing assignments they may have in the future. We will be covering the most commonly made mistakes in the writing process, and diving into topics such as: -Punctuation -Grammar -Spelling -English Language Mechanics -Capitalization -Formatting -First vs. Third Person Narration In this comprehensive and all-inclusive overview into Mastering the ability to Proofread, the class is structured in a series of miniature lectures, discussions, slides, and games to help facilitate a variety of learning styles. My teaching style is enthusiastic, positive, and engaging!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to proofread their own essays better moving forward and be able to eliminate errors through a series of helpful steps and tips. Students will be able to better master the most commonly made mistakes regarding punctuation, grammar, spelling, mechanics, formatting, capitalization, and narration.
