Prompts to Grow Creative Writing Skills

In this ongoing course learners will receive a different prompt every week to grow creative writing skills. Great for learners who need a little nudge to start writing, and a little direction in elaborating once they get started.

Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 9
In this course, learners will receive a different prompt every week designed to improve creative writing skills. Some prompts will be images, some will be written, and some will be thought prompts. I will introduce the prompt as learners come to class, then be available to guide them with any questions they have, or read their pieces and give feedback. I will also, with student approval, post pieces to the discussion board for peer editing.

Prompts include thought prompts (What if, have you ever wondered?), personal prompts (my favorite season is, I'll never forget the time...) and image prompts (look at the picture and write from the perspective of...). Learners are welcome to submit prompts for us to write about!
