In this 10-lesson Python Level 1 course for high school students, learners will dive into foundational programming concepts, gaining skills that span coding essentials, problem-solving, and creative design. The course follows a project-based approach, where each lesson introduces a new programming concept and concludes with an engaging project. Starting with basic topics like variables, loops, and Turtle graphics, students gradually progress to more advanced concepts such as functions, lists, classes, and even designing full programs. Lessons are crafted to reinforce concepts through hands-on experience with Turtle graphics, allowing students to create visual, interactive projects that appeal to their creativity and curiosity. Projects include developing games, drawing interactive graphics, and building functional applications. By the end of the course, students apply all their learning in a self-designed final project, showcasing their Python skills.
Learning Goals
Students will learn both fundamental programming concepts and Python project examples.
