In this weekly on going class we will dissect and discuss literary topics found within the book Harry Potter novels.
Class Experience
Welcome Witches, Wizards, Goblins, and Students, We will embark on a wonderfully magical journey through the Harry Potter Series. In each weekly class, we will review a chapter in the selected Harry Potter Novel based on the schedule listed below. Class agenda: To begin class we will introduce ourselves with an icebreaker based on the series. Next, we will dive into the text and dissect 5 different story elements: Plot, Setting, Characters, Conflict, and Theme. (In books 1-3, this looks...
Students will improve their listening, problem solving, and conversational skills while also learning about the 5 elements of stories. Students will gain confidence and listening skills while socializing with other students of similar interests.
Pre-Work means coming to class having read the assigned chapter. The student will also be prepared to discuss the 5 elements from the story. I would recommend taking notes while pre-reading the chapter.
1 file available upon enrollmentPer WB, all students should have their own copy of the books. I will not be reading the whole chapter to the students.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
