This one-time course consists of a lecture presentation on how to write a professional email with the correct etiquette. The lecture is interactive with student-based Q&A, quiz-like scenarios, and short answer questions throughout the presentation using an online program, Nearpod. I will teach how to address the recipient of an email, how to properly sign an email, and how the body of an email can be structured. *This class is subjective. I understand not everyone's idea of email etiquette is the same. This course teaches a basic tool which is commonly taught in high school and college, but I believe as the world relies more on technology longer students deserve to have the opportunity to learn this life skill as well. The goal of this course is to help learners feel more confident in their abilities to remain polite and professional when conversing with a teacher, instructor, coach, etc.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Ally Schrieber! I am a certified English teacher for 5th-12th grade. I am also certified as an English as a Second Language teacher for 5th-12th grade.
I have experience working with children from kindergarten to high school seniors in areas such as English, writing, and club activities that promote and enhance social skills. I teach English writing and literature classes as well as classes for younger audiences teaching them interesting information that appeals to their likes and how to apply that to their life.
I believe that all students deserve to be heard and acknowledged. I believe as a teacher it is my responsibility to create an environment where all students feel safe to participate and learn. My philosophy behind my teaching is student-centered learning. I believe that students learn best and exceed expectations when the lesson is suited around their specific needs in which I exemplify for them the goal of the lesson and they then work to replicate it.
Now something fun...I love hiking and being outdoors! I have participated in hiking challenges around my state and am always up for an adventure!
