This one-time course works in conjunction with my class "Procreate: Hand Lettering and Calligraphy" to build on the basic skills learned to continue to practice hand lettering on procreate.

Want to continue to gain knowledge about hand lettering and calligraphy on Procreate? Join me as I build on the basics you have already learned to begin to turn letters into words! We will also start learning about creating your own unique style and flair on your lettering. We will also learn about pairing hand-lettering with printed writing, styling, and layouts. By the end of this class, you will be able to write out letters, headlines, and anything else you might want with your own hand lettered font. Guided and lined worksheets will be provided, and I can't wait to get lettering with you again!
Learning Goals
Students will learn more advanced skills of using procreate to create letters in the style of modern calligraphy.
Students will practice their discussion skills by vocalizing questions and comments they have with this new technique of writing.

Supply List
Learners will need an iPad with the Procreate app downloaded and and Apple Pencil.* *Apple Pencil is highly recommended, but not required. Apple Pencils allow pressure to be registered on the iPad, which is essential to hand lettering. Other styluses will not register this, and although you can make great lettering styles without changes in pressure, the style I am teaching heavily emphasizes the pressure of the pencil on the iPad.

Hi! I am Miss Kelcy! I look forward to teaching art classes to all learners!
I am a New York State Certified Art Teacher, certified in grades pre-k through twelfth! I believe every single learner should have the opportunity to succeed in the art room, so many of my classes include lots of choice, with very few materials. I have experience working with special education students, ESL students, and groups of varied age ranges and ability levels in person and via zoom.
