Are you ready to explore some beginner techniques for creating modern, digital illustrations on your iPad using the Procreate app? Then this class is for you! Over the course of 3 class sessions, students will follow along with my step-by-step demonstrations to create their own Tropical Leaf, Mandala, Insect, & Summer Citrus illustrations. By the end of this multi-day course, students will have tons of new knowledge and skills that they can use to create their own incredible artwork in Procreate using a variety of beginner techniques.

~ REQUIRED PRIOR EXPERIENCE  ~
This multi-day course includes Parts 1, 2, & 3 of my Procreate for Beginners series. Although a beginner course, the lessons were designed for students with some basic knowledge of the Procreate app. If you are new to the Procreate app or would like a review of the basics, I recommend taking my "Let's Doodle! Intro To Procreate for Beginners 101" class before enrolling in this course. For those who just need a quick refresher, I provide all students who enroll in this 3-day beginner camp with a "Procreate App Basics" video before our first class.

Before taking this course, students should ALREADY be familiar with...
- The Procreate app interface & navigation.
- The basics of using Layers.
- Using basic Procreate tools such as the Paint and Erase tool.
- Selecting colors.

~ CLASS BREAKDOWN ~

Prior to each class session, students will need to download the class resource photos to their iPad devices. These will be posted in the classroom the day before each class. We have a lot to cover during each session, so preparedness is important. Interaction and questions throughout the class are highly encouraged. Learners will be given the resources to complete an optional homework assignment after each class session to reinforce the techniques learned.

Class #1 — Tropical Leaves!
We will begin with quick introductions so that we can get to know each other. Learners will then follow my step-by-step demonstration to create their own vibrant, 3D tropical leaf illustrations while furthering their Procreate app skills. We’ll cover custom canvas sizes, sketching, using a reference photo, shading, layer masks, adding texture & more! 

Class #2 — Fun With Symmetry!
Learners will follow along to create their own Mandala illustration and then Insect illustration while learning how to use Drawing Guides in the Procreate app. We’ll explore new brush techniques, using drawing guides and the Drawing Assist tool, radial & vertical symmetry, and more.

Class #3 — Summer Citrus!
Students will combine the skills learned in the first two lessons to create a Summer Citrus illustration. We’ll explore using layer masks, adding depth, creating a balanced composition, & more!
