Procreate Drawing Club (Ages 10-14)

This is a drawing class but students will draw with the Procreate App.  We will cover the basics of how to use the app and drawing tools (mainly layers and selecting brushes/colors)  but I will NOT be teaching ALL of the Procreate features. In this drawing class students practice really drawing the shapes and lines in the subjects we draw. 

Each class will begin with a brief exercise or lesson (about 5 minutes) where we will go over an art element (line, shape, color, value, form, texture, and space) in our subject.  Students are given a source image on the class page that they can download and use directly on the Procreate App. The remainder of the class will be working through the drawing process on one of a variety of subjects: animals, landscapes, food, etc. The sketching/drawing takes up about 25 minutes and the remainder 20 minutes are focused on shading and adding details to complete the drawing. 

Students will be encouraged to ask questions and talk to each other as long as they keep working on their art.  Overall, I love to keep things light and relaxing.  Even though we are learning technical skills, I love to make it personal for each learner and encourage their insights and questions.
