If you love digital artwork, cute animations, and kawaii designs, this is the perfect club for you! This class is great for learners who are new to Procreate and for those who already have some experience. Each week, we will alternate between creating artwork and animations. On days that we draw, I will start class off by teaching everyone how to draw one sticker that fits a certain theme. We will spend an entire class on one design. On animation days, I will start class off by explaining the basics of Procreate's animation features. Everyone will get a chance to make their animation unique and creative, but I will be instructing step-by-step directions on the basic movement. Animation days are primarily spent designing the animation and we don’t always have time to color it together - it depends on how much time the basic layers take. Students can continuing adding color on their own time if needed. Anyone who feels comfortable will get to show off and share their creations. There are some days when students feel like they need to stay a few extra minutes to finish their artwork so that they can share. I always aim to have my instructing complete by the end of class time, but students often work at their own speed and have additional questions and this does lead us to spending extra time in some sections. Your student is never expected to stay after the end of scheduled class time and they are always welcome to log off whenever they need to. I share the class recordings so that students may go back and watch the steps over again if needed. This is a digital art class, so students won't be able to participate in a majority of the content if they are not drawing digitally. I will be instructing and using Procreate for iPad. It will be most helpful if your learner has the same app. It can be downloaded from the Apple store for $12.99 and is compatible with iPads. Your student can use another drawing app, but my instructions and advice may not be as helpful coming from a different application. An Apple Pencil will greatly enhance the ease of drawing digitally. If you have a drawing pencil, I recommend it. However, it is possible to draw on Procreate using your finger. I've done it before myself. It will take a lot of patience and may not be as easy but it's an option for persistent and motivated learners. ---- November Drawing Schedule: *Halloween weeks will have non-Halloween options* Week 1 (Animation): Hot cocoa animation Week 2 (Sticker): Apple basket characters Week 3 (Animation): Campfire animation Week 4 (Sticker): Kawaii swiss roll desserts
