Interested in diving further into the incredible tools that Animation Assist in the Procreate app for iPad has to offer? Do you prefer or need the flexibility of watching pre-recorded lessons in your free time to complete such an awesome project at your own pace? Love designing characters or interested in Animation? Then look no further, this is the Self Paced class for you!

This Procreate animation class is a great match for both beginner and more experienced Procreate artists! It's perfect for you if you love to draw characters and/or want to develop your animation skills. There will be No Live Instructions, but if you need further assistance with something you are welcome to ask me in a private message or post your question to the discussion board. Questions are always welcome and encouraged!

You will follow along to my 3 step-by-step prerecorded lesson videos to complete one incredible Walk Cycle animation project over three weeks OR totally at your own pace! You may complete the project I demonstrate exactly as I do OR use the skills and techniques you have learned as inspiration to create a unique project of your own. I love when learners are inspired to make these projects uniquely theirs! You may upload your completed project to the Classroom Discussion Board and tell me what challenges you faced and overcame, as well as the process you used if it differed from what I demonstrated. :)

Please Note: I have designed this class to be a Standalone class, as well as a Prerequisite to a Procreate Dreams Self Paced class that I would like to launch in the future regarding moving backgrounds. There will be instructions in the final video for those who plan to take that course once it's announced.

Additionally, these instructions are for a biped human or humanoid walk cycle. Please let me know if you'd be interested in a quadruped, etc.!

Lesson 1:

Cartoon Walk Cycle: Initial Sketches!

 In this lesson video, you will learn to draw all poses in the basic and widely accepted cartoon walk cycle.

Lesson 2:

Cartoon Walk Cycle: Line Work & Color!

 In this lesson video, you will learn to add line work and color to your original cartoon walk cycle.

Lesson 3:

Cartoon Walk Cycle: Add Blink Cycle!

 In this lesson video, you will learn to modify your original cartoon walk cycle and add a full blink cycle.

Parental Guidance

PROCREATE DRAWING APP During this Self Paced course, we will be creating digital art using the Procreate application for iPad. This is a third-party app that will need to be downloaded onto the Learner's iPad. You will not need to create an account to use this application, as your Procreate data is linked to your iPad and your Apple ID. YOUTUBE My pre-recorded Lesson Videos will be included in the Outschool classroom as an embedded link, so learners can remain on the Outschool platform and do not need to access the Youtube website. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have designed this class to be both a *Standalone class,* as well as a *Prerequisite to a Procreate Dreams Self Paced class* that I will be launching in the Fall of 2024. As such, there will be instructions in the final video specifically for learners who plan to take that class next.

Except for 2D Animation Club, if a learner is confident in another animation application they may choose to join with it. However, I will not be troubleshooting other apps during these lessons.
