Class Experience
This private class is for any level dancer. The class is designed by you! I can instruct the dancer in Jazz technique or Ballet technique. Stretch and flexibility as well. Does your dancer want jumps and turns...you got it! Class will begin with a quick warm-up. We then move onto the subject YOU have selected to focus on. All music will be age appropriate. This is a private class to be able to work on what YOU want. Just let me know! I encourage communication between the dancer and myself. I'm greatly looking forward to working with new dancers. Class suggestions: 1- Concentration on center floor turns such a pirouettes or a la seconde 2- Concentrations on across the floor turns such a chaine or sauté basque 3- Concentrations a leaps such as Grande Jette front, side, switch leaps etc.. 4- Ballet Barre or Ballet Center Floor Work.

Parental Guidance
Please be sure your learner has an open space for moving, free of obstacles. If appropriate dance shoes are not available, sneakers or barefoot and comfortable/stretchy clothing is recommended. Long hair should be pulled up. A water bottle is always great.

I have been teaching all forms of dance for 32 years! I am a 1991 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Manhattanville College with a minor in Dance. While there, I focused on Jazz, Ballet, and Modern. I even performed in the Soviet Union in 1989!
I opened my dance school at the age of 23 and still love it! I teach all ages Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Pointe and Modern. My true specialty is Jazz. I love the energy and unique creativity available though Jazz Dance.
Dance class is more than just "dance". It teaches grace, poise, discipline and self confidence. All qualities that will benefit a student in all areas of their lives.
I have been happily married for 24 years and have a 19 year old son who is a sophmore at Fairfield University. He even competed in Jazz and Hip Hop until 7th grade when soccer took over!
I'm looking forward to sharing my knowledge and love of dance with the Outschool Community.Reviews
