During this time of uncertainty, tweens/teens may be struggling with anxiety. This mindfulness series with Robyn Parets, the founder of Pretzel Kids, will offer meditation, breathing and other mindfulness skills to help teens cope.

Class Experience
Students will gain valuable mindfulness skills, as well as recorded meditations that they can use to practice on their own.
Hi everyone. I'm Robyn Parets, founder of Pretzel Kids yoga and Breathe Joy Yoga! I'm also a mom to 3 boys and a yoga/meditation teacher for almost 20 years. Pretzel Kids yoga is one of the fastest-growing youth yoga and mindfulness brands in America. I'm thrilled to bring this important practice to your kids as mindfulness has been proven to help tweens/teens sleep better and reduce anxiety and stress. In addition to my training and background in yoga & meditation, I'm trained in Mindfuness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from UMass (the program started by Jon Kabat-Zinn). The Pretzel Kids yoga & mindfulness curriculum was developed by yoga & school teachers and is now in place in schools, gyms, recreation centers, camps and more. 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1-2 hours per week outside of class. Handouts provided by the teacher. Suggested props: an eye pillow or yoga mat for laying down on the floor.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
