Description

Class Experience

I have extensive experience teaching writing to a variety of ages in many different contexts. I have also received multiple years of writing center training and have worked in multiple settings giving one-on-one tutoring for writing. My philosophy is of helping empower the student to make their own writing choices. Rather than providing an editing service, I provide rich discussions, give appropriate resources, and help students improve their writing abilities while boosting their confidence for future assignments.
I will provide links to handouts and videos as relevant to the specific issues we discuss. Students need to provide their assignment sheets (if applicable) and any materials they have on the draft so far (brainstorms, complete draft, partial draft, etc.)
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
