Private English Writing Tutor // Essays // Creative Writing, Etc...

Please let me know any expectations you have, including how much homework (if any) you would like me to assign the student on a weekly basis. I can assign weekly homework assignments but want to be sure the work is manageable for each individual student. 

This is a private tutoring session, good for ages 5-18. The parent/student should provide me with a list of areas to focus on. Areas of focus may include grammar, spelling, vocabulary, sentence structure, outlining, research, and figuring out what to write about. The student should come to class with a piece of writing that we can discuss and edit. 
We will start the first session with a short introduction about goals and areas for improvement. Then we will begin editing a writing sample. During the editing process, I will evaluate the student's skill level and areas for improvement. We will work down a writing checklist and offer guidance throughout. After class, the student will receive guidance on how to improve his or her writing skills along with setting goals for the future. 

I can provide writing lessons to elementary and middle school students. High school students with polished writing skills can learn about the best processes for writing argumentative essays. We will delve into logic and how to support arguments effectively while finding reliable sources.
