Class Experience
With ongoing voice lessons, your child will learn proper vocal techniques to develop great singing habits and build their voice with confidence. We will use warm-ups, exercises, and songs to learn. They are also encouraged to bring song ideas of their choice to work on. This is not required though and I am more than happy to help them find songs well-suited for their voice. We will learn about vocal technique from the recording studio to the stage and will explore different musical styles from musical theater to pop. My goal is to help your aspiring singer find their own voice and have fun in the process. I strive to create a welcoming environment where your learner can be themselves and grow in confidence. I look forward to meeting your budding performer and guiding them on their singing journey. All levels are welcome!! ***I am currently fully booked for for a ongoing weekly lessons (subject to change) but I also teach a one-time version of this class that can be repeated and we will always pick up where we left off. Hello parents and learners! I am a Theater teacher as well as a professional actress, voice-over artist, and singer. I teach a variety of classes dedicated to theater and music. I invite you to check out my online classroom!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Dramatic Arts and 13 years of experience working in Theater Arts and Music education with all ages from toddlers to adults. I worked as a theater and music teaching artist at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 8 years as well as the Disney Musicals in Schools program bringing the magic of Disney to elementary and middle schools.
I have worked at The Great Lakes Theater in Cleveland, Ohio bringing classic theater to grades K-12 as both a professional actor and teacher and I am a former vocal coach at the School of Rock.
I love teaching and giving my students the necessary tools to become theater and music artists themselves. My goal is to build their confidence and help them make a personal connection with what they are learning. And of course, have fun along the way!
