Class Experience
Some topics that may be covered are: -Vocal Technique to keep you from developing bad habits such as straining -Song selection to make sure you are singing the the perfect song for your age and range -Foreign Language diction (did you know that a very popular American musical, South Pacific, features french sung by the young Ngana and Jerome?) -Breathing Technique to make sure you an sing through lines without running out of breath! -Performance and Acting work to help you tell your story to the audience -Audition Preparation to make sure you are as ready as can be! -Sight Reading to help you learn music quickly and identify everything in the music -Ear Training to help you recognize intervals and pitches -Rhythm to help keep a steady tempo while you sing!
Fine Arts Music Voice Teachers have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Music, a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience along with a many years as a professional performer.
Student and teacher will work together to develop an appropriate practice routine together based on the goals, age, and skill level of the student.
Sheet music as suggested by the instructor.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
