Private lessons for violin or viola and fiddle for young musicians. Beginners welcome, as well as students with more experience.

We will focus on playing technique, posture, ear training and listening, and building repertoire in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.

Posture skills include:
Bow grip
Wrist movements
Playing in the correct location on the strings
Holding the instrument correctly on the shoulder
Correct finger position on the fingerboard

Technique skills include:
Pizzicato-plucking the strings
Legato-long sooth bows
Staccato and Spicatto - short bow strokes
Intonation-listening and playing in tune
