In the course of 3 weeks the student will learn the basics of beginner violin | viola techniques. We will cover how to hold the instrument and the bow properly, read the notes, and perform/memorize short violin pieces.
Class Experience
The students will use "Yuniy Skripach"("Young Violinist"), Maia Bang, Suzuki Violin Method Volume I at the beginning stage. Additional materials will be provided according to the student's needs and abilities.
Week 1: We will learn instrument parts, the proper instrument and bow hold. The class will also cover the principles of maintaining the correct posture and the basis of the sound production. We will discuss the basics of the rhythm structures and bow distribution.
Week 2: I will...We will be working on developing the sense of rhythm, musical hearing, and artistic presence. Additionally, students will improve attention span, focus, and coordination
I am a professionally trained violinist with Doctoral Degree in Violin Performance. I have 8 years of teaching experience in an academic environment. I am a strong believer in an individual teaching approach. The lesson structure will greatly depend on the temperament and expectations of each individual student.
