1:1 Private Ukulele Lesson

Private one-time ukulele lesson. 1-on-1 instruction individualized to each learner's unique needs, level and goals. Perfect for complete beginners, intermediate players, or advanced players who are looking to develop new skills and further their technique. No previous ukulele experience or knowledge is required.

Possible topics that will be worked on:
-How to hold the ukulele
-How to tune the ukulele
-Playing position and rest position
-How to strum
-Proper hand and finger position
-How to read chords, tab, and music notation 
-How to play chords
-How to play chord progressions on the ukulele
-How to count and play strumming patterns on the ukulele
-How to play songs using chords
-How to play melodies
-How to play ukulele and sing at the same time

Bring your ukulele and any music that you may be working on! I will also provide you with exercises and songs for your skill level during our lesson. Please let me know any songs that you may be interested in learning.

I encourage family members to assist their learners if needed during the first lesson, but to remain off-screen during this class per Outschool policy. Frequent modeling, clear directions, and repetition will be used during instruction to maximize students' success. After a student's first lesson, I highly suggest allowing your student to learn and play their instrument independently to allow them to progress into self-sufficient and self-motivated musicians.
