Welcome to ukulele lessons with Teacher Jennie! I have been teaching for over 25 years and love seeing students enjoy learning the ukulele and have fun playing music. In these private ukulele lessons, students will learn the basics of the instrument including: - names of strings - strumming techniques and rhythms - reading notes - chording - changing chords in order to create songs - melody and accompaniment - fun songs! I have been a certified music instructor for over 25 years. I teach guitar, ukulele, piano, flute, and music theory, as well as children's music classes. I owned a music school for 10 years where I created the curriculums for music classes and taught several students. I have completed my Piano RCM Grade 9 and currently studying RCM Grade 10, I have studied or taken lessons in all instruments for many years. I have taught ESL online for over 4 years to thousands of students and continue to do so with my TESOL certification.
Homework will include practicing the music we learn in class each day. Beginners roughly 10-15 minutes

If parents would like a full assessment of how their child is doing with lessons please just ask. I send a summary of our class each time we meet in the messages as well as the assignment.
25 minutes per class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
All music will be age-appropriate and will not include any cuss words or inappropriate subject matter
Students will be sent assignments and pdf files to either print or save on the computer. If students continue for longer and would like to own their own book I can recommend which ones to purchase
