Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 8
This is a one on one math tutoring class, meant to help individual learners with math skills. Sometimes a student just needs a different approach or some individual help in order to excel and flourish in a given area.

**This class is 30 minutes. If you feel that a longer class would be more appropriate for your learner, please schedule my 45 minute or 60 minute class, or just send me a message and we'll figure out what would be best for your student. If there is not a time slot available and I can work something out with you.

**If you are interested in a full curriculum class for grades 3-9, please send me a message. I teach ongoing classes structured for each of these grades to include concepts for the entire school year. I am happy to work with you in setting something up for your learner.

Many students need extra help understanding or practicing certain math concepts. Some of these concepts include: addition or subtraction, multiplication or division, algebra, geometry, fractions and decimals, finding the LCM (lowest common multiple) and GCF (greatest common factor), and the list goes on. I have teaching methods and learning activities to help teach and reinforce these facts and concepts. If there are specific fact families that are tough and need practice, we will work toward getting those up to speed.

If your student needs help with homework or specific assignments, please let me know and send me a copy of the math homework or assignments. I can be more beneficial for your students if I know in advance what areas of math we will be working on so I am prepared with the correct teaching materials. I would be happy to assist with whatever would be most helpful for the student. I want to connect with the learners and let them know that I care about them individually and and want them to succeed.

Learners or parents should send a message upon enrollment to discuss the needs of the learner (specifying areas that come easy for the student as well as areas in which the student struggles). I would be happy to do a quick assessment at the beginning of class to know where it would be best to begin working if needed.
Learning Goals
Students will understand math and feel confident in concepts that have previously been difficult for them.
