Description
Class Experience
In this private ongoing tutoring class we will meet once a week to build your child's reading skills and confidence. Each class will be catered to address your child's specific reading needs. The first class, I will get to know your child as a reader. Then I will assess their phonics and sight word knowledge before I listen to them read. This will give me a better understanding where to start with your child. I will email you with a report and my advice so I can build a plan to strengthen...
Students will grow as a learner and develop reading strategies and confidence.
Please bring a book, paper or dry erase board, pencil or marker to class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The first tutoring session I will work to assess your child's sight word knowledge, phonics knowledge, fluency, accuracy, and comprehension. This will help me then develop a plan for new instructional areas of need.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
