Private Tutoring - Third Grade Spelling, Reading, and Language Arts
In this engaging 2-week course, learners will master challenging spelling patterns as well as strengthen reading comprehension and language arts skills.

Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to spell words with the indicated patterns, extend spelling patterns to spell like-sounding words, use correct spelling in their independent writing, determine the main idea of a text, identify story elements, point of view, cause and effect, fact and opinion, and begin utilizing non-fiction text features such as headings, graphs, diagrams, etc. They will also use correct punctuation in their independent writing.
Students will be asked to complete a spelling page each night to practice spelling and using their targeted spelling words in their own writing. They may also be asked to complete unfinished classwork including writing projects outside of class.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
3 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
