Class Experience

US Grade 7 - 11
In this private tutoring session, I will thoroughly explain whatever Algebra concepts the student is currently struggling with, or we can learn new topics if they want to get ahead. I have taught Algebra for over 12 years, and I am passionate about helping students understand it.

Just name a topic in any level of Algebra (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2), and I will explain it in a way that makes the most sense to you. Then we will complete practice problems together to make sure you feel confident moving forward. I will also develop individualized strategies for you to use moving forward. Don't be surprised if I get really excited about the information you're learning - Algebra makes me happy and I hope my enjoyment of the subject makes it less intimidating to you. Algebra isn't your enemy, you just need someone to explain it in a way you understand.

I am a math lover through and through! I've always said "Math doesn't have to be hard; you just need someone to explain it in a way you understand." I can do that! I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence and mastery in math.

Algebra and Geometry are my favorite math subjects, so you'll see me get really excited about them!

When I teach, I customize my strategies to fit your individual needs, and I have so many tricks up my sleeve for teaching math concepts, I can always find a method that works for you. And of course, it is especially important to me to make sure every student feels safe to make mistakes in my class – we celebrate mistakes! The only way to master math is to learn from your mistakes!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics and I've taught secondary math online for 6 years and tutored privately for over 10 years. It's a real pleasure to help students achieve their math goals in an online setting.

Besides math, I am an avid cat lover! I have 2 cats currently and I love teaching children all about cats! Cats can be our very best friends if we know how to treat them right. I am passionate about researching cat behavior and psychology, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with students so they can have a greater relationship with their furry felines!
