In this class, your child will receive personalized ELA curriculum to help them achieve total reading success! I will provide a fun and engaging atmosphere for your child as they practice grade level reading skills. 

I will use the "I do, we do, you do" teaching strategy when reinforcing each standard to set your child up with independence and critical thinking skills. We will complete a variety of activities and play educational games that reinforce these important skills needed for success. 

I will provide a list of the Common Core Standards upon enrollment so that we can discuss which standards you would like for me to incorporate into each lesson.

Example topics include: 
⭐️ Ask and answer questions about key details.
⭐️ Ask and answer questions about unknown words.
⭐️ Identify who is telling the story at various points in a text.
⭐️ Identify the main purpose of a text, including what the author wants to answer, explain, or describe.
⭐️ Know and use various text features (e.g., captions, bold print, subheadings, glossaries, indexes, electronic menus, icons) to locate key facts or information in a text efficiently.
⭐️ Identify basic similarities in and differences between two texts on the same topic (e.g., in illustrations, descriptions, or procedures).
