Students will engage in tutoring through practicing problems and working through areas of strength and needed support during the lesson one time a week as an ongoing class. Students will solve problems on the screen with instructor, working through each step of the problem. Students will then continue to practice skills and ask questions as they work through. Students will enhance skills as they work through problems, gaining one on one insight into areas where mistakes may commonly occur. Students will practice for mastery, having the opportunity to review concepts of needed support to build confidence.
I am a teacher with 10 years of classroom experience (2 years elementary, 8 years middle school), 2 years online teaching experience, and have also served as a private tutor for over 12 years to many different students. I have worked with students as young as 7 and as old as 21 tutoring in different concepts including mathematics, science, history, language arts, and foreign languages.
Students will be provided additional practice upon request.

If time permits, we will play games to review skills for strengthening mastery of concepts. Some of these games come from Mathnook.com, kahoot.com, blooket.com, breakoutedu.com, and more. Subscriptions to sites are not needed as links are given in class to the games. Sites will be used as needed to support learners as we practice skills in class.
