Class Experience

I provide individual tutoring sessions for kids who want to improve their art and storytelling skills in comics, providing the one-on-one attention that will take their abilities to the next level. I have years of experience in digital and traditional illustration, working for myself and for media companies creating comics and digital art. I am able to help guide young artists in whatever medium they prefer, whether it be pen and ink, digital, or pencil sketches.

Students enrolled in this course do not need to be proficient in art, all that they should bring is a willingness to learn and an interest in sequential art. Types of media that can be covered in this course include webcomics, graphic novels, comic books, and manga. If you want to request something different, please don’t hesitate to message me and open a conversation!

This course will improve a variety of skills that will help your child grow in the world of art, including script writing, storyboarding, sketching, line art, and coloring. During classes, I will be using a digital drawing tablet to draw right onto the screen, and the student will be required to show their work as well in order for me to offer feedback.

This course can be a one-time session to go over basics in comic creation, or ongoing and directed by the student’s needs. Please send me a message so we can create a course plan that is perfect for your blossoming artist!

Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Mr. Hall, and I love all things drawing, comics, cartoons, and caricatures!

I graduated with a bachelor’s in Fine Art and I’ve been working as a professional artist for many years. I love being able to draw silly cartoons every day and I can’t wait to be able to share my skills and techniques.

When I’m not tutoring, I’m live streaming, making comics, a graphic novel, and raising my son with my beautiful wife. I would love to get started helping you learn how to take your art skills to the next level!
