Private tutoring is available by request for learners between the ages of preschool and fifth grade. This listing is for one 30-minute session, I have a separate listing for 60-minute sessions as well as ongoing sessions. I am a fun, and engaging tutor. I adapt my energy level to meet the needs of every learner. In addition to content help, I offer motivation, encouragement, and confidence-boosting for learners. I have been a licensed K-8 teacher for eight years and have been teaching virtually for more than three years. I have my Master's of Education in Learning and Technology and my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am a nationally certified virtual educator as well. Utilizing technology tools for learning is my jam! I have so many great resources to use during tutoring sessions. I know how important it is to make virtual learning interactive, and fun to ensure students are engaged and focused. My lessons and energy level are adapted to meet every student's needs and ensure they are engaged with the content. I love making personal connections with my students too. It is so rewarding to see students grow and feel excited about their learning. It brings me great joy to see my students grow their confidence in themselves and in their learning. During the school year, I teach virtual public school for students where there are teacher shortages. I also teach virtual preschool classes and tutor all elementary school subjects. I have several years of experience teaching English Language Learners of all ages as well. One of my most cherished experiences was teaching in Lesotho, Africa with the Peace Corps for nearly three years. I am also a yoga teacher, world traveler, rock climber, and kitten foster mom. I live with my husband in central Washington. Sessions will be customized to your needs and desires. Please message me to see if our schedules align. I absolutely love teaching and connecting with my students! I've been teaching learners from around the world for 11 years, with the past three years being virtual. I know how important it is to make learning engaging and fun. I do my best to ensure students have an enjoyable learning experience in my virtual classroom. I adapt my lessons and energy level to meet every student's needs and ensure they are engaged with the content.
I started teaching on Outschool in January. Since then I've taught over 200 preschool classes (the classes taught shown by Outschool does not include my three ongoing preschool sections). Teaching preschool here has brought me so much joy. I love connecting with students and listening to their ideas. I also love our wiggle breaks, and show and tell days.
I am licensed to teach grades K-8 in WA and MT. I earned my Bachelor's of Education from the University of Montana and my Master's of Education in Learning and Technology. Most recently I completed certification through the National Virtual Teacher Association.
Currently, I teach virtual public elementary school English and Social Studies. I also virtually teach English Language Learners and tutor all subjects K-5. In the past, I have taught preschool, elementary, and middle school.

When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy yoga, rock climbing, and running. I earned my 200hr yoga teaching certificate in Thailand in 2019. Learning about cultures and seeing new places is so important to me!
