Class experience
The 1-1 tutoring will be a chance for your learner to receive personalized learning for any of my ongoing classes. Tutoring sessions are 25 minutes each, but some students schedule back-to-back sessions for those who desire an hour-long tutoring session with a possible change of subject. The session can be in any of my current ongoing classes, such as Classics The Graphic Novel Way, Weird and Interesting History, Paranormal, Diversity in Graphic Novels/Books, or any of the others I have...
This will be a self directed tutoring class. Students will be able to choose from all of my ongoing courses and choose what they find interesting and what they would love to learn.
I am in the process of getting my MFA in Children's Lit. I have taught diversity to many people, not just kids, throughout my life. I have taught and continue to teach the compassion of diversity to kids daily. I have been teaching on Outschool since June 2020. In many of my classes we have covered the topics of women's rights, race, gender, ethnic background, LGBTQIA+, and much more that falls under the diversity umbrella. If you have any questions or concerns before taking this class, please reach out to me, and I will be glad to answer them.
For my graphic novel and book clubs, students will need to have a physical or digital copy of the books to participate in the class discussions. Most of these books should be attainable through your local library. Please plan ahead when joining this club. We do not read the books in class.
Although some of my classes have a varied age range, we will be age appropriate for your student.
