Class Experience
I will support your learner by using one-on-one research based interventions, such as Orthon-Gillingham, Linda Mood Bell, Touch Math, 4 Squares Writing and many other teaching strategies that I have learned as a Special Education teacher and through years of successful teaching experience. Some of the ways I can support your learner are listed below. I have taught both Special Education, Preschool and Elementary Education Regular Education. I have used so many of my special education skills in the regular education classroom for students who are struggling. These techniques are not just Special Education Students but all students. I will use a digital portfolio via Google Drive for a digital portfolio for parents to check the student work and to review with the student. I will also use websites such as nearpod and quizlet for review. READING: -sight words -Decoding -phonics -reading comprehension MATH -addition -subtraction -multiplication -division -Middle School Math -High School Math WRITING -Pre-writing -basic sentence -sentence structure -revising and editing -Writing Process STUDY SKILLS/EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING -middle school study skills -high school study skills -organization -note-taking skills I can work with focus and other issues related to ADD/ADHD as well. Let me know what your child needs help on before class and I will gear their learning to their struggles. Let me know what time works best for you: I have many sections already listed. If you would like a 30 minute session, please let me know so I can make a new section and invite you! I am a mom of 3 girls whom currently I homeschool. I would love to help your child become the best learner they can be. I want to give them skills they can use for life and be successful. When not teaching or homeschooling I enjoy, hiking, fishing, and camping with my girls and husband.

Supply List
Students supplies will be determined based on the topic covered in class. Different resources may be needed. I will send a list to parents before the class begins, so supplies can be gathered.

-Certified in Elementary Education-all core subjects for K- 6th grade. Certified in Special Education birth-12th grade.
-I have 12 years of experience with teaching special education, pre-school, and regular education.
-I have 2 years in Preschool, 2 years in Elementary Education, 8 years in special education of those 8 years 5 were in the middle school setting.
-Certified in Emotional Disabilities/Learning Disabilities/Intellectual Disabilities.
-Experience with working with students with Autism
-Experience working with students with ADHD/ADD and Executive Functioning deficits.
