Private Tutoring : Beginner Mandarin (Chinese)

In this 4-week long booking of 2 lessons per week (total of 8 lessons), learners will work one-on-one with Ms. Stephenie practicing Beginner Mandarin Chinese. Each lesson is customized just for the learner!

Parents/caregivers will have a correspondence with Ms. Stephenie prior to the private sessions to speak about expectations, goals and interests. Ms. Stephenie will then prepare lessons customized for the individual learner* with the various Chinese materials she uses. 

*for families who wish to have siblings enrolled in the same private session, a sibling discount can be applied, if requested.

Or for registered enrollees that would like to open a spot to another enrollee in their session (max 2 learners in these private sessions), I can reduce the lesson price to $25/class, at the end of the 4 weeks for each 8 classes with 2 learners, so the total is $200, instead of the $240 (1 learner). Parents/caregivers will need to request this when booking, so the instructor can adjust the number of open spots available.

When all 8 lessons are completed, Ms. Stephenie will discount 5% off the total at the end (not for classes with siblings). If learners will like to continue the private lessons, they can book again. 

Ms.Stephenie believes this 2-days/week schedule will allow learners time to retain and review what was covered in the lessons. The short 25-min (may extend to 30-min, if needed) will be good for most student’s virtual attention span.

Various topics can be covered, such as animals, food, colors, numbers, clothing, locations, interests, activities, important greetings, weather, school terms, and more. 

Students will learn key phrases to use after learning vocabulary. 

Speaking and listening will be emphasized in the private tutoring, as writing and reading can always be done without the instructor next to the student. However, it will and can be reviewed in the class, as well, if requested.

The customized lessons will be at a pace that is comfortable for the learner. Ms.Stephenie is familiar with various learning styles and find the best ones that work for your learner. She will make sure your learner will learn a lot from these 8 lessons.
