Learners will be assessed throughout class via discussion and work completion. I will communicate with the learner's grown-up after our class to let them know what our next steps are based on the learner's current undertandings.Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - 12
We'll make learning the trickiest subjects fun by playing through a lesson together. What is your learner struggling to grasp? What homework do they just dread attempting? Have them bring it to a private tutoring session, and we'll tackle it together in a lighthearted 30 minutes. I'll take the first few minutes to hear how the learner is feeling about the content, and assess their current understanding. From there, we'll fill in any gaps in learning with games, videos, direct instruction, and discussion. Depending on the learner's age and needs, we'll take a squiggle break or a drawing break before diving in to homework or classwork. Although I can't guarantee that homework will be fully complete in the 30-minute block, I will ensure that the learner leaves with a solid understanding of how to finish whatever we can't complete together. Subjects and topics that I'm able to teach and tutor include: - Writing (Pre-K-12th grade, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, playwrighting, and more) - Reading (Pre-K to 12th grade) - theatre/acting (all levels including monologue coaching and individual role coaching) If you're interested in help with a subject not listed above, please reach out for more information. Grown-ups: If there is a specific homework sheet or assignment you'd like your learner to work on with me, please send me a message with a picture of the worksheet or a summary of the assignment at least an hour before class starts so that I can prepare an effective lesson. I'm also more than happy to communicate directly with your learner's teacher to ensure that our lessons cover exactly what your learner needs. Because this class is catered to individual needs, I cannot provide an example schedule. Please reach out to me to let me know your goals for your learner, and I will respond with a tentative schedule.
