My private tutoring sessions are catered to individual student needs. As a high school English Language Arts teacher with a BS in English Education and 15 years of teaching experience, I provide individualized help with writing, grammar, reading, literary analysis, spelling, vocabulary acquisition, or other fundamentals of Language Arts.  
 
Working with you and your learner, I will cover the specific content that you request and/or work on generalized Language Arts skills.   I appreciate all prior communication from parents regarding the specific area of focus for the sessions. Background information will help me better understand your child's needs. Struggling learners as well as learners who are working ahead of grade level are welcome!

Example of typical class cycle: 
Week 1- Assessment of student needs, goals set, overview of skills per student needs 
Week 2- Implementation of learning plan, overview of skills per student needs. 
Week 3- Introduction of skills, review of homework. 
Week 4- Introduction of skills, review of homework, review of goals. 

After 4 week cycle, we may circle back around to student needs assessment. No class builds on previous classes and students can leave and come as needed
