Homework Offered
Homework may be assigned sometimes at the teacher's discretion, depending on the topic and activity. Ex: Finish a project or lesson activity started in class, brainstorm ideas for a new project before the next class, review a skill previously learned, etc.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner's work will be assessed mostly through verbal feedback from the teacher during the live classes. Learners can also request written feedback through private messages outside of class. Some websites used in class will provide scores on lessons/activities (ex: Typing.com, Khan Academy, Code.org)
Grades Offered
 1 file available upon enrollment
Learners will need access to the internet and a laptop or desktop COMPUTER. (NO tablets, please!)
Most of the websites used for tutoring will likely require an account with a username and password.

In some cases, parents will need to create the account for their learner. This is the case for Google, Microsoft, Canva, Khan Academy, iMovie (Apple account), and WeVideo. (If any of these are used in class for creating projects.) All of these accounts require an email address, which must be selected and supervised by the parent as a way of giving permission for use. (Parental permission is REQUIRED for learners under age 13.)

In other cases, the teacher will create the account and share the username/password with the parent. This is the case for Typing.com and Code.org, which DO NOT require an email address for the username.

All instructions regarding logins and account access will be communicated CLEARLY to parents before the website is used, including the link(s) for creating the account and/or logging in.

All website accounts must be parent supervised, managed, and monitored. (Especially if the learner is under age 13.)

Parent supervision is also recommended when learners search the internet for images or research information to ensure appropriate and accurate searches.
Learners will need access to the internet.
