Class Experience

In this class, students will focus on having conversations in different scenarios such as while at the park, while travelling, while at school, and while at a restaurant.  Moreover, they will expand their "greeting" vocabulary from good to great, excellent, amazing, etc. 

Learning Objectives

By the end of the lessons, your child will be able to:

Week of January 25th - Communicate how they are doing using new vocabulary such as: "Excelente, Alegre, chevere, muy bien, regular etc"
Week 1 - List the names of kitchen utensils
Week 2 - Order food from a Spanish Menu - (role-playing between waiter/waitress and customer)
Week 3 - Talk about all of their school subjects
Week 4 - Explain what types of school stationery they use
 
Week 5 - Communicate their name, age, and favorite color
Week 6 - Outline the different types of clothing adjectives (i.e. informal/formal etc).
Week 7 - Converse about various types of Mexican Food
Week 8 - Talk about a myriad of hobbies
Learning Goals
The overarching goal is to learn how to break the ice by using key Spanish phrases.

For example, they will learn the following phrases in Spanish:

1. What is your favourite hobby?
2. What is your favourite food?
3.  I like to eat with a fork and knife.
4. My kitchen table can fit x amount of people
5.  My kitchen table is brown.
6. My parents cook with a frying pan.
7. I am feeling super good today.
8. I enjoy math/science/PE class.
9. My favourite school subject is math/science/PE etc.
10.  I use a ruler/pencil/pen/scissors at school.
11.  What would you to drink?
12. What would you like for dessert?
13. What would you like to order?
14.  May I have a glass of water, please?
15.  May I have a glass of milk, please?
16.  May I have some soda, please?
17.  I like to skate/run/walk/sing/draw/paint etc.
18. I would like to eat tacos/quesadilla/beans/tortilla/rice etc.
19. I want to wear jeans/a suit/a a dress etc.

My name is Teacher Moises and my passion is seeing children walk with confidence.  I teach piano lessons, ESL, Spanish, Essay Writing, and Public Speaking. I hold a degree in Computer Science, but I have dedicated 15 years of my career to Leadership and People development, and teaching children how to communicate effectively.  My main goal in any class is having fun and protecting the self-esteem of all students.  The goal is to excite them about what they love the most, and do it with confidence. I am married to the most lovely lady in the world, and my three children are so wonderful.  I love bike riding and hikng in some of the most beautiful trails in Canada.
