Is your student in Kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade? Or are they reading at these reading levels? Do they need some additional individual support in reading? This series of classes is for them! These lessons will be highly personalized to the student. They may include the following skills: - Decoding and phonics - Fluency and rate practice - Sight word automaticity - Comprehension: retell, inferential and critical thinking questions - Written Comprehension Each lesson will build upon the previous lessons to help the student achieve their reading goals. By the end of this course, students will be more proficient and fluent readers. Student will be using interactive, research-proven strategies. Also available for two students who want focus on the same skills. Please contact the teacher for flexible scheduling!

Hello! My name is Gina Derm and I can't wait to teach your student reading!
I've spent the last 8 years using research-based teaching strategies in both the online and offline classroom. I have a Masters degree in Elementary Education, a Kindergarten-through-5th-grade teaching license in the State of Colorado, and a TESOL certificate. I am also currently studying for a Masters degree in Education Policy.
In my classes, your student will share their ideas, give feedback on others' ideas, and develop their academic skills. Just like in my in-person classroom, students will feel supported and loved!
Whichever class your student attends, I am hoping to get to know them. I want to develop a trusting relationship and an understanding of their learning style/needs. I believe that all students want to be successful!
