Private Reading Tutoring for Struggling Readers with Structured Literacy Approach is a program designed to help students with literacy difficulties improve their reading skills. In this weekly tutoring session, students will be taught literacy skills that will help them read faster and with more accuracy. The program is designed for students who are struggling with reading comprehension, fluency, and phonemic awareness. Struggling learners can be students who have difficulties with decoding or recognizing words, understanding vocabulary, or comprehending what they read. They may also struggle with reading fluency and have difficulties with spelling and writing. Struggling learners can come from different backgrounds and can be of different ages, including elementary, middle, and high school students. Structured literacy approach is a research-based instructional method that teaches students to read by breaking down words into smaller parts. It focuses on teaching phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension in a structured and sequential manner. This method works well for struggling readers because it provides them with a clear and consistent framework for learning how to read. The program meets once a week, and students will have daily homework practice to retain the skills learned during the class. If you would like to speed up your child’s progress you can book multiple weekly sessions. 🗣️ What Clients Are Saying: - "Best option for my daughter struggling with sight words and sounds." - "Ms. Ja’Les is a wonderful teacher. As a homeschool mom who successfully taught my daughter how to read, I believe I would make an excellent reading tutor. My daughter was struggling with reading when she was in public school, but with my guidance, patience, and tailored teaching methods, she was able to overcome her difficulties and become a confident reader.
One of the reasons why I would be a great reading tutor is that I have firsthand experience in teaching a child with dyslexia. I understand the unique challenges that dyslexic students face and have learned effective strategies to help them succeed. I am patient and empathetic, and I know how to create a supportive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their goals.
Moreover, I have experience in adapting teaching materials to fit the learning style and needs of individual students. I know that every child learns differently, and I am committed to finding the best teaching approach for each student. I am also a good listener and communicator, which allows me to understand the concerns and needs of both my students and their parents.
In conclusion, my experience as a homeschool mom, my knowledge of dyslexia, and my ability to adapt to different learning styles make me an excellent choice for a reading tutor. I am passionate about helping children become confident readers, and I am confident that I can make a positive impact on the students I work with.
