In this one-time private tutoring class, we will work on specific reading skills and strategies your child needs to become a confident reader. I am a certified Reading Interventionist in a public school and have taught all ages for over 20 years. I am trained in Wilson Reading techniques and I have a Master's degree in literacy. My goal is to help struggling or beginning readers learn and love to read through hands on activities and games. The lesson will be individualized depending on need for phonemic awareness and accuracy as well as reading fluency and comprehension.
Learning Goals
Students will improve reading skills and strategies to enable them to be confident readers.
Before I start working with your child, we will connect to discuss their current ability and level so I can design a custom lesson plan to meet their individual needs.

Learner will need a white board and dry erase marker or paper and pencil.

I teach reading and I am a highly qualified, state certified teacher in the USA. I have been working as a reading intervention teacher for over 20 years in a public school and before that I taught in regular and special education classrooms. I am certified to teach grades k through 12 and all subjects. .My mission is to help struggling readers better comprehend texts and increase their ability to read fluently and with accuracy .I am a life long learner and hope to instill the love of reading and learning in others.
I am the grandmother of two children ages 8 and 10 and I also enjoy family trips with them.
