Based on the results of the reading skills test that is given in our first session, students will work on any reading skill they struggle with, or that the parent requests. I adapt quickly and can change tactics on the fly as necessary. Sometimes during lessons, we discover new strengths or weaknesses that we can build with or dig more deeply into!

I am offering this class to give students the option of exclusive lessons tailored to meet their unique needs. I teach each lesson using the Phono-graphix method. I have been using this strategy with my private students for over 20 years and my students have had amazing success with it.

Homework Offered
Homework is assigned for follow-up practice and will be assigned depending on the student's goals. I usually assign extended practice of the same skills taught in class.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
After three class meetings, I give the reading skills test again to determine progress. This is, of course, shared with parents to determine a future course of action. Parents should notice a significant improvement in their child's reading skills in as few as six sessions.
