Beginner - Advanced Level
Hello and welcome to my phonics and reading class! The aim of this 4-week course is to increase your learners reading abilities and confidence! This course can be taken as many times as desired as it will build on previous content. In this course learners will be baselined to identify their current reading level in relation to Oxford Reading Tree Curriculum (levels 1 -9) . I will also pinpoint the appropriate phonics stage (1 - 5 ) in relation to their abilities'. From there each class will continue to work through the appropriate phonics stage for their level (as placed in first lesson) and read a book matching the sounds being taught, answering comprehension questions throughout. This lesson will work on fluency, accuracy, blending, comprehension and confidence! Activities, games and books will be used throughout and edited to suit learners interests for the games. All my classes are fun and engaging as happy and confident learners thrive to their full potential! I am very calm and patient, and I welcome mistakes in my classroom as mistakes are just proof we are trying. I am extremely encouraging and offer lots of praise to boost confidence and enjoyment! In this lesson learners will be baselined for the reading level and phonics stage. We will do various activities and games in order for me to gage where we start the course between stage 1 phonics with level 2 books - Stage 5 phonics and Level 9 books. 25 mins online live lesson

Phonics Sounds and Matching Book
In this lesson learners will work through the appropriate phonics stage for their level (as placed in first lesson) and read the matching book at this level, answering comprehension questions throughout. This lesson will work fluency, accuracy, blending, comprehension and confidence! Activities, games and books will be used throughout. 25 mins online live lesson

Hello everyone it’s lovely to meet you!
I’m Laura a fun, enthusiastic and experienced teacher from England. I have been teaching for 8 years now (5 years in schools and the last 3 online) and I absolutely love my job! I offer both Maths and English classes to children ages 4-12. All of my classes are made after students enrol and I have spoke to parents to ensure they suit each individuals needs and interests. For example, if your child wants to master their phonics sounds and loves dinosaurs or multiplication and Disney, you name it and I can make it!
I teach all aspects of English and Maths including, phonics, writing, grammar, reading and reading comprehension, multiplication, division, mental maths, geometry and more! I have access to hundreds of books and all books from the Oxford Reading Tree curriculum. I have a detailed phonics scheme that can be adapted to suit their interests and abilities.
I offer group classes (for that extra bonus of social interaction) 1:1 classes (to focus on personal goals with 100% attention) and self-paced classes (for those wanting to learn at their own pace).
The need of each individual learner dictates my lessons and their happiness and enjoyment for learning is paramount! I create a happy, safe space where mistakes are welcomed and achievements are highly celebrated. I always start or end the lesson with a small game relevant to the lesson, this is to generate a positively and confidence as I believe confidence generates high achievements!
