Informal assessments will be given during each session as I observe your child's understanding of new skills and progress with previous skills. Formal assessments may also be given for targeted skills such as identifying letter sounds.Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Instruction will be based on parent input, teacher recommendations if available, and preschool evaluations that I give your child. Each session will be tailored to your child's strengths and areas of difficulty. We will use stories, manipulatives, printables, and crafts to engage your child in learning language arts skills such as letter names, letter sounds, phonics, rhyming, and blending. We will also focus on math skills such as numerals, one to one correspondence, shapes, simple operations, and more. I can also give you recommendations for areas that you can focus on throughout the week.
Learning Goals
Your child will learn pre-reading, math readiness, and fine motor skills needed to be successful in kindergarten.

Supply List
Depending on what your child needs to learn you may need items such as alphabet letters, markers, paper, pipe cleaners, glue, playdoh, etc.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Master's Degree in Education from Old Dominion University
I taught first grade for five years so I know the skills needed to be successful in elementary school. I also taught preschool in my home and in a co-op. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education, a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
