Homework
1-2 hours per week. Homework will depend on the age and ability of the child. 15-25 minutes, 5 days a week would be standard.Assessment

Learning Goals
1) Learning to play with proper fingers and feeling comfortable with it.
2) Learning notes of the C4 octave and the octave song (by the teacher).
3) Go through the lessons comfortably and progressing at a good pace for the student
4) Learn basic music symbols.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have taught children preschool through high school for over 25 years. I have a Bachelor's in Music Education with an emphasis in voice, and have played piano since I was 9 years old. I enjoyed accompanying many of my fellow Music majors for their juries (finals) in college. Knowing the basics gives children the confidence to pursue their favorite instrument and that's an amazing gift.
