Piano is a homework based activity!
This will depend on the level of the student. I will assess and let you know what books are needed. A piano (or keyboard with pedal --up to the first two years of lessons) is required. After the second year of lessons, an acoustic piano is required.
Positive feedback and help along with virtual stickers and encouragement from the teacher are given.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Classes are held as per the schedule listed. Because there are two classes in one week and it is fairly intensive to do this, there are weeks when there are no lessons at all. This allows for more practice time or a break if needed from the keyboard.
Books will be required and needed for the student. At any given time, a student will work out of a lesson book, theory book, technique book and a supplemental book in the regular lesson time. The workshop will include whatever you are interested in: composition, note-spelling, scale work, chord chart reading, etc. as needed.
