Class Experience
This is a private summer class for new students or students continuing where they've left off! We will explore Music for Little Mozarts, Faber My First Piano Adventure A-C, or Faber My First Piano Adventures Primer-Level 5 according to students' background and age. There is a deep discount on this class since it's only offered in the summer at ET morning times :) -New students will explore different sounds (soft and loud, high and low), learn about good hand posture, identify two and three black keys, key letter names, play rhythm games and activities, and learn notes on the staff. -Transfer students will pick up where they are with notes/rhythms, method books, and be directed to a curriculum that fits their level and age. During this class, students will use a series that's a good fit based on prior experience (Music for Little Mozarts, Faber My First Piano Adventure A-C, Faber My First Piano Adventures Primer-Level 5). Students wishing to continue lessons in the fall may sign up for "Little Mozarts: Private Piano Lessons", "Faber My First Piano Adventure Book A-C", or "Faber My First Piano Adventures Primer-Level 5"

Teacher expertise and credentials
Bachelor's Degree in Music or Theatre or Arts from Brigham Young University
Hi, I'm Ms. Grace. I teach beginner to advanced piano. I'm passionate about level, age-appropriate lesson books and pieces that fit my students' interests!
I started piano at age 5, as many classical pianists do. I studied with Rowan University piano faculty at age 15. While working on my degree at Brigham Young University, I took lessons in Vienna, Austria with faculty at the University of Vienna and the Vienna Konservatorium. In 2014, I graduated with a piano performance degree from BYU under Dr. Richard Anderson. Since then I’ve taught privately, judged in Encore and other regional competitions. I worked at the Utah Piano Academy for two years. I now run a piano studio full of happy, awesome kids. I am an active member of the Music Teachers National Association. I often prepare students for ABRSM, RCM, and local exams and events.
