In this multi-day class, the student will use a piano method book that we choose together. I often use Piano Adventures by Faber. I welcome Home Schooled students as well.

In this class, the student will use a piano book that we choose together. The class will be structured to go through the book in order of the lessons given and the student will be able to start wherever they've left off previously. My teaching style is very interactive and fun. This will be just an instruction and playing class only with no games. In this class, all beginners and intermediate students are welcome. I have taught children preschool through high school for over 25 years. I have a Bachelor's in Music Education with an emphasis in voice, and have played piano since I was 9 years old. I enjoyed accompanying many of my fellow Music majors for their juries (finals) in college. Knowing the basics gives children the confidence to pursue their favorite instrument and that's an amazing gift. I am patient and encouraging and love to engage with my students in a very positive way. I look forward to teaching your child.
Homework Offered
15 minutes a day, 5 days a week. The homework also includes written work or studying musical symbols and time signatures.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
